Mandopop superstar JJ Lin signs Singaporean Esports team


JJ Lin, Founder of Team SMG revealed their all Singaporean Valorant roster.

Team SMG (Still Moving Under Gunfire) has revealed their VALORANT roster for the first time.

Team SMG was founded in 2017 by JJ Lin and former Dota 2 player and coach, Kenchi Yap.

With teams in Shanghai, Malaysia and with the recent addition, Singapore.

This is team founder JJ Lin’s first-ever all Singaporean esports team, he shares “This is a milestone in my e-sports journey, one that is very close to my heart.”

Having started gaming as a pastime, he says has evolved into a passion and global vision for e-sports.

Team SMG’s roster was previously known as GMCC, comprises of veterans who had played professionally in FPS game Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.

With several local first place wins in recent Valorant tournaments such as BRSG Valorant Community Series and the Stay Home Challenge Breaker.

Team SMG’s Valorant team will be making their debut into the competitive scene on July 27 against teams in Southeast Asia in Rise of Legion: Valorant July 2020.
